Historical Facts:

His Majesties Submarine Turbulent.
Commander J.W.Linton V.C.
D.S.O. D.S.C.

For the whole of her short life of 15 months, Turbulent was based in the Mediterranean and was a very successful boat. In 254 days at sea she sank 100,000 tons of Axis shipping, and received 254 depth charges for her pains. Her tally consisted of the following:1 cruiser, 1 destroyer, 1 U Boat, 28 Supply ships and 3 Trains destroyed by gunfire.

She was eventually sunk by a mine off Maddelana, Sardinia on March the 23rd 1943, a fact confirmed years later with the discovery of her wreckage.
